Awake Consciousness is a powerful metalcore band from Spain, blending progressive metalcore with groove metal influences to create a sound that is both modern and deeply emotive. The band’s name itself carries a message: an invitation for listeners to reflect on the awakening of human consciousness, while bringing new flavors and textures to the metal world.

The project was born in 2018, founded by guitarist Danfred and singer Ira Kero. After years of individual musical work and experience in the industry, the two artists decided to take the next step and build something of their own — a band defined by modern melodies and metalcore structures, fresh and powerful vocals that shift seamlessly between melodic and guttural tones, and riffs strong enough to leave no listener indifferent.

Shortly after the band’s formation, guitarist Manu Valler joined the lineup. With a solid background in music production and a deep technical knowledge of the craft, Manu brought direction and cohesion to the project from the very beginning, playing a key role in shaping the band’s debut album.

At its core, Awake Consciousness seeks to deliver a message to society: the awakening of consciousness within every human being. Their lyrics draw from the raw material of everyday life — the doubts, the worries, and the obstacles that are ultimately overcome.
